Coco Brun is a multidisciplinary and itinerant artist hailing from Brittany, France, who dedicates herself to creating installations, textiles, paintings, and sculptures that blur the boundaries between art and craftsmanship. Deeply concerned about the future of nature, her approach revolves around observation and comprehension of the perpetual transformations occurring in the natural world. She explores the dynamic between the necessity to grasp an unknown future and the desire to reconnect with familiar elements; a contradiction and tension that are integral to her quest. Nature itself undergoes constant change, with minerals evolving into different substances, plants being born and dying, and animals adapting to their ever-changing environment. Her work incorporates these processes of transformation to prompt reflection on our place in a world perpetually undergoing degradation. To achieve this, she has no particular artistic medium, as she enjoys exploring and transforming materials in new ways.
